The last Remix ID event took place in Sânmartinu Sârbesc, Timis, Romania, where we were hosted at the Union of Serbs by the Serbian Ensemble Kud Kruna Srpski Semarton and Mrs Vesna Struta-Ciolacovici. The girls of the ensemble – Mirama, Andreea and Flavia – performed a series of folk dances, remixed after a choreography by the actress Olga Diana Török.
Also at the Union of the Serbs we organised a guided tour of contemporary art, with the works of artists Cătălin Marius Petrișor, Silvia Moldovan and Andreea Medar. Visitors were also able to watch a video documentary on the ethnic groups of Banat, directed by Mihai Pinti.
Then, in the courtyard of the Serbian Union, surrounded by the beautiful Serbian village church, the composer Alex Halka Turcin held an electronic music workshop attended by a large number of children and young people. The concert was enlivened by the video projection created by visual artist Josépha Blanchet.
Our thanks go to Vesna Struta-Ciolacovici – coordinator of the Kud Kruna Srpski Semarton ensemble, the girls of the ensemble – Mirama, Andreea and Flavia, the Municipality of Peciu Nou and Liana Nacev.
