Remix ID Workshops at Thermal Points (FITT)

REMIX ID returns to Timisoara after the interventions of the past years, mostly in ethnic communities representative for the multi-ethnic identity of Banat – in localities with a strong tradition of Slavic, Hungarian, Serbian, Czech, Roma, Croatian, etc.

We thought that just as there is a polarisation between town and village, so there is a similar relationship between the town centre and the periphery – the neighbourhoods. One of the problems of the cultural infrastructure Timisoara is facing is the agglomeration of all the events in the few places that already have a tradition in this sense, but that do not manage to establish a contact, especially when we talk about new media arts, with the inhabitants of the suburbs.

From the beginning, our approach has been to create real links between artists and the public. So the events at the end of August and beginning of September will take the form of music, dance, writing and photography workshops, where participants are invited to work with professionals from different artistic backgrounds, from home and abroad,

So we invite you in the coming period to the FITT centres, former thermal points in the city, transformed into cultural centres, to meet Olga Török, U.kustik, Mirela Stoeac-Vladuti, Boaru Alexandra, Cristi Vicol, Gheorghe Sfaiter, visual artists, sound artists and many others.
